Meet Maureen
Hi, I’m Maureen Gilbert. Before becoming Bene Pizza’s owner in September 2026, I traded a corporate career for a boutique hotel and discovered how much I enjoyed the personal side of hospitality. That experience helped shape my book, The Business of Freedom, about creating room for meaningful work, family and life.
Bene is the next chapter of that story, with my family often alongside me. I’m excited to build on its place in the Bainbridge community and make it a welcoming spot for pizza with the kids, a drink at the bar or an evening catching up with friends. Whether you’ve been coming for years or are discovering us for the first time, come say hello.
